About the Neshama Psalms Method
In this method, before the letters of the name, the letters of the word 'Neshama' (נ-ש-מ-ה) are recited first, followed by the letters of the name. For each letter, the corresponding stanza from Psalm 119 is said. The method is commonly recited for the elevation of a departed soul and for strengthening the soul of a living person.
